About the Founder
Yngrid Chacón is a Dominican-Honduran multi-disciplinary designer. She has worked for nearly decade in the design industry. Yngrid's design portfolio includes collaborating with a range of companies including: The United Nations Foundation, Fannie Mae, UNICEF, National Institute of Health, and CTIA. She initially focused on branding and print design and went on to create the branding for Fannie Mae’s Information Security department. Afterwards she shifted towards digital design, working on flagship sites like the National Institute of Health’s PubMed site. Throughout her years working in agencies Yngrid hoped to create a company that reflected her core values around design and creativity, which lead to the inception of Lychie Studios! The studio name honours her years growing up in Latin America and Southeast Asia.
Outside of her design work, Yngrid focuses on her visual art career. Her artworks can be found throughout Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland (the DMV). She also gives and moderates talks with DMV creatives to help strengthen the D.C. art community.
